I know I told you I’d wait here for you, I wasn’t going anywhere and that I’d always love you. There’s truth in all of that but I wanted to be clear on what’s true right now in this moment.
I can’t wait for you or anyone. Life is in constant motion and waiting prevents growth and change. I know you wouldn’t want that for me or even ask it of me. What I mean in my heart when I say this is that I will grow and change as one should in life but I will always hold a place for you in my heart and life. Always.
I’m not going anywhere. This one is pretty much it. You know my life circumstances and obligations are going to keep me in this general area for a few more years at least. And you know that my life is public and accessible enough that you can always find me. I can safely say, I am here.
I will always love you. The level and depth of my love has changed out of needing to adapt to the changes between us. However you are an amazing person who has brought incredible amounts of joy and love into my life and I will be forever grateful for that. I believe that love is a flame and as such can be as simple as a solitary wick or roaring like a fire. So how that flames burns for you only time will tell. But it will always burn.
